No transfer of registration from one rider to another.

Waitlist
If all slots are filled, you have the option to be added to the waitlist. If a registered user drops, the waitlist is automatically processed on a first come, first served basis. If you're selected from the waitlist, you'll be sent an email and you only have 24 hours to complete your registration. After 24 hours have passed and you haven't registered, the system will automatically process the next name.

NCWR is a grassroots club of volunteer motorcycle riders that build and maintain trails in the Tahoe National Forest and fights for your right to ride on OUR public lands. All proceeds of your entry and raffle ticket purchases go to our cause.

Sponsors

Our event sponsors, both major and minor, have really grown in the past few years. Our many sponsors donated all the great raffle swag. Please be sure to support these sponsors throughout the year.

GPS

This is a GPS-only ride. The files we will give you are supported by all brands of GPS units except Magellan. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with your GPS unit before the ride. You cannot take a new GPS out of the box the morning of the ride and successfully navigate the route.

Tracks

The file for this year's loop will be given to you before the ride. NCWR provides GPX files that are compatible with the majority of GPS units on the markups. We no longer support older units that can only use 500 waypoints. We will have GPS-literate folks with laptops at sign-in to help you. Just get to sign up a little early to avoid the rush, and bring your GPS cable and adapter if you have one.

GPS loading will begin at 6:30 am the day of the event.

Gas

The start and end will be at Skillman Campground. Mid-ride refueling will be included with your registration. Your bike should be full of gas before the start of the track, and there will be a mid-ride fuel stop. A 100-mile fuel range is recommended, giving you a little range cushion just in case.

Lunch

Lunch will be a remote lunch (not at Skillman Campground) and is included with your entry fee.

Signup/Sign in

Signup is online. If slots are still available, signups start at 6:30 am on the day of the event at Skillman Campground. All riders must sign in at signups and complete the AMA waiver form.

Rider Meeting

The rider meeting is at 8:30 am. Don't be late; we have a lot to cover. The first rider will leave at 9:00 am, and the last rider out by 9:30 am.

Check Points

There should be several checkpoints along the way, so please stop and check-in. Our goal is for everyone to have a great day on the trail and finish safely and prevent us from sending people out to look for you. Please help us make sure everyone gets back safely by checking in at the checkpoints and lunch, especially at the finish, even if you decide to leave early.

Other

While none of us hope for issues on a ride, you should be prepared to repair your bike if needed. You should carry tools and tube(s) should they be needed and know how to use them.

Camping & Lodging

Camping is available at nearby campgrounds on a first-come. Below are just a few options:

  • Camping at Skillman Campground is on a first come, first served basis and is $25 for the weekend.
  • The next closest campground is White Cloud which is 3.3 miles away.
  • Nevada City is 14 miles away with hotel options
  • Grass Valley is 16 miles away with hotel options.
  • Nevada County Fair Grounds RV Park is 20 miles away.
