CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS & DEADLINES

FUEL RANGE: A 100-MILE FUEL RANGE IS MANDATORY. Do not attempt this ride if your bike cannot make 100 miles on a single tank. (Mid-ride fuel is provided, but the legs are long!).

REFUNDS: No refunds after April 15, 2026. No exceptions.

TRANSFERS: Registration is non-transferable. You cannot give or sell your spot to another rider.
ABOUT THE EVENT
The NCWR Dual Sport is a GPS-based ride through the beautiful Sierra Mountains.
NCWR is a grassroots club of volunteer motorcycle riders that build and maintain trails in the Tahoe National Forest and fight for your right to ride on OUR public lands. All proceeds from your entry and raffle ticket purchases go directly to this cause.
LOCATION & SCHEDULE
Start/Finish: Skillman Campground

06:30 AM: Sign-in and GPS Loading begins.

08:00 AM: Mandatory Rider Meeting. (Don't be late, we have a lot to cover!)

08:30 AM: First rider out.

09:00 AM: Last rider out.
REGISTRATION & WAITLIST

Signup: Online registration is highly suggested.

Onsite Registration: Available starting at 6:30 AM on the day of the event ONLY if the event is not sold out. Registration will need to be in cash only.

Waitlist Policy: If the event sells out, you may join the waitlist. If a spot opens, the system processes the waitlist in order. You will receive an email and have only 24 hours to complete your registration. If you do not register within 24 hours, the system moves to the next person.
GPS & NAVIGATION

GPS ONLY: This is a GPS-only ride (No roll charts).

Compatibility: We provide GPX files compatible with most newer units (Garmin, Android, IOS, etc.). WE DO NOT SUPPORT MAGELLAN UNITS.

Device Limits: We no longer support older units limited to 500 waypoints.

Tech Support: GPS loading starts at 6:30 AM. We will have volunteers with laptops to assist. Please bring your specific cable and adapter.

Requirement: You must be familiar with your unit. Do not bring a brand-new GPS out of the box on ride morning and expect to navigate successfully.
FUEL & LUNCH

Gas: Start the ride with a FULL TANK. A 100-MILE FUEL RANGE IS MANDATORY, Mid-ride refueling is included with your registration (we haul the gas for you).

Lunch: A remote lunch (on the trail, not at camp) is included with your entry fee.
SAFETY & CHECKPOINTS

Checkpoints: There are several checkpoints along the route. You must stop and check in at each one.

Finishing: You must check in at the finish line (even if you decide to leave early/bail out). This prevents us from sending search parties into the woods looking for you at night.

Preparedness: Carry tools and a spare tube (and know how to use them). Be prepared to repair your own bike on the trail.
LODGING & CAMPING

Skillman Campground: Camping is available onsite. First-come, first-served basis. No reservations. ($25 for the weekend).

Nevada City: 14 miles away (Hotel options).

Grass Valley: 16 miles away (Hotel options).

Nevada County Fairgrounds RV Park: 20 miles away.
