IMPORTANT RIDE INFORMATION. PLEASE READ ALL INFO.

NCWR is a grassroots club of volunteer motorcycle riders that build and maintain trails in the Tahoe National Forest and fight for your right to ride on OUR public lands. All proceeds of your entry and raffle ticket purchases go to our cause.

Sponsors
Our event sponsors both major and minor have really grown in the past few years. All the great raffle swag was donated by our many sponsors. Please be sure to support these sponsors throughout the year.

GPS
This is a GPS only ride. The files we will give you are supported by all brands of GPS units except Magellan. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with your GPS unit before the ride. You will not be able to take a new GPS out of the box the morning of the ride and successfully navigate the route.

Tracks
This is the most important part.
The file for Loop 1 will be given to you at the beginning of the ride. Files for Loop 2 will be loaded for you at the lunch break. NCWR provides GPX files which is compatible with the majority of GPS units on the markups. If you are having trouble loading or transferring tracks don’t panic we will have GPS literate folks with laptops at sign up to help you, just get to sign up a little early to avoid the rush and bring your GPS cable and adapter if you have one.

Gas

The start, finish, lunch and GAS are all at Skillman Campground. This is a self-gas event. Bring your own gas and keep it in your truck. You can gas up at the lunch break. 100 mile fuel range is recommended giving you a little range cushion just in case.

Sign-ups

Sign-up is at Skillman Campground and opens at 6:30am Saturday October 16, 2021. All riders must sign in at sign-ups.

Riders Meeting

Riders meeting is at 7:30, don’t be late we a have lot to cover; first rider out at 8:00am, last rider out 8:30am.

Check Points

There are a two check points on each Loop when you see one please stop and check in. Our goal is for everyone to have a great day on the trail and finish safely and prevent us from sending people out to look for you. Please help us make sure everyone gets back safely by checking in at the check points and lunch and especially at the finish even if you decide to leave early.

Camping & Lodging

Camping is available at nearby campgrounds on a first-come, first-served basis.  The event is approx. 15 minutes outside of Nevada City which allows for hotels, etc. in town.
